As we sat in the Hummer limo from the Las Vegas airport to the Venetian Hotel, I spoke to my travel partner about his plans for the week. I further had the pleasure to be sitting with this intelligent young man during most of the Traffic show in Las Vegas. Although he was just 15, his observations were extremely informative. He watched the show not just as a newbie, but also with an understanding of what his age group looks for when going on the web.
That 15 year old was my son Jeffrey.
While Vegas may not be a family town, the Traffic show certainly was. Jeffrey had the opportunity to meet and speak with such industry veterans as Michael Berkens, Sahar Sarid, Matt Bentley, Page Howe, Don Ham and many others. Jeff’s instinct at picking quality domains showed as the domain he liked best in the no reserve auction, stereotypes.com, went for the 2nd highest amount at that auction.
Jeffrey came to the show to increase his knowledge regarding Direct Navigation. He told me that the meetings and seminars that we were involved in had greatly increased his understanding. During the show, he received and turned down an offer for his domain, Brothers.com. It seems like most Domainers, he has plans for development.
So what was his favorite part of the show. Maybe you can tell by the pictures.
